We've got a couple of inches on the ground and more on the way.  Oh well, that is the Canadian experience, is it not?

For all my people facing the onslaught of our seasonal ice age make sure you get your warm blankets, candles, granola, gloves and tuque in your car in case you get stuck, and put those two bags of kitty litter in the trunk. Now is that time of year where you're gonna need them, especially if you get stranded somewhere.

Seasonal ice age! Haha that is too funny and very appropriate. Have had only snow flurries so far.

In Quebec we have mandatory snow tire rules and the date looms. The first year a lot of people were not pleased about this but as it turns out it is a good thing. As a lot of us work in Ottawa we've all discovered less traffic build-up due to less accidents and less fender benders overall on the Quebec side of the River. Besides the cost of snow tires far outweighs the cost of a human life or often the insurance deductible.

Time to settle in for a long winter's nap while ole man winter takes his good sweet time making his way throughout our fair land. At least there's hot toddies and mulled wine to enjoy!

Why wait for winter? Booze is an all seasons beverage, is it not? :-)

I don't know where you live, but I trust it's not too far north of the border. One wonders how people in (for instance) Yellowknife can stand it. It's probably not too hot there in the summer, even.
