With it we have created a weapon capable of inflicting horrific suffering and death; AND have transformed leukemia from a death sentence to a treatable illness with a chance of recovery.

I do too! It makes communication so much easier.

I didn't want to use the phrase "double edged sword" because its overused (and because I'm more of a katana fan, but that's a different conversation) but it is true. Technology allows wonderful things, but it also has less desirable consequences. It's all about mastering it to get the best possible outcome.
