Groceries and Blindspots

snowywolfowlToday had not too much happening in it. I ended up going up to Wally-World to get some groceries. Not too much to report there, other than that it was packed and that I almost mowed down an elderly lady in the store who stepped into my blindspot after I'd grabbed a grocery cart at the entrance.
I honestly didn't see her. All I saw was a cart sliding out to hit me in the side, so I put my arm out to stop it. Unfortunately I ended up hitting her in the shoulder, thankfully not too hard. It's all well and good that she wasn't upset by it (she actually apologized because she had walked right into my blindspot while I was talking to someone) but still, I'm glad I didn't knock her over. Poor woman couldn't have been five feet and a hundred pounds or so. I've got fourteen inches and 100+ pounds on her. Thankfully no harm done.
So anyway watched some tv tonight. I checked out "InSecurity" on the CBC website and I'm kind of enjoying it. On one hand its nice to have a spy parody that's completely unashamed to be Canadian, but on the other hand some of the first episodes seem to be a bit wooden in some of the performances, and the humour probably doesn't completely translate outside of our borders. Could go either way, I think.
