According to the CBC some parts of Northern Ontario will see wind chills as low as -55 C. All I can say is "Too bad suckers! I've got a balmy -30 windchill to enjoy!"

Me (Walking home in a blizzard):     Take it easy sir. You don't want a heart attack.

Elderly Man (Shoveling his driveway for the 9th time in the last two days):   I'm getting too old for this shit.

Me (Pausing to stop and consider this):     I am so blogging that.

In other news my street now looks like a set from "The Empire Strikes Back", my feet are cold, and apparently Bell Telephone drivers consider clearing three inches of snow off of their windshield to be optional before putting the van in drive.

You know in a way I consider myself pretty lucky in that I've narrowed my likely cause of death down to two possibilities. The first is a blood clot at my desk which frankly is just boring, predictable and somewhat expected. The second is being mowed down by a driver while exercising to prevent the first eventuality.

Really drivers, is it too much to ask that you don't have tinted windows so that we can see where you are looking before we decide if we're going to cross on that traffic light, or take a pass and wait for the next one? That does strike me as being a small thing to ask especially since for some of you actually looking to see what is in front of you before hitting it dead centre is too much.

*Sight* Whatever.

I'm going to go play some guitar. I'm trying to figure out how to play this: So far I've got the intro riff charted out ok so I'm going to see if I can get the chord voicings just right on the rest of the it. That shouldn't be too difficult but as for the solo.........

Oh well. Its good to challenge oneself and lead playing has always been terrifying for me.

...and now that I no longer have two feet of good old fashioned Heart Attack Snow in my driveway, I can post again. Problem is, I don't have too much to post about. All my Christmas shopping is done, the decorations are now thoroughly buried under a blanket of snow (So much for that Green Christmas you were predicting, Environment Canada), and soon I'll have the necessary gastronomical materials for proper Christmas celebrating.

Oh well, better to be ahead than behind, right?

Yesterday I opened my door to go to work and instead of warm spring sunshine and streets covered only with the grime of a winter's worth of sand I found myself transported to the frigid planet Hoth.

To say I was not a merry man would be a small understatement indeed.

At least most of the snow melted today. Hopefully it can stay that way until December like its supposed to.
