After watching both Obama's and Palin's speeches about the Tucson massacre I have one question that I'd really like answered if at all possible. This question isn't for Canadians or other non-Americans, or Democrats, or supporters of other Republican politicians. It's specifically for Palin supporters, and is asked with all due respect and curiousity:
Why Sarah Palin? What is is about her, in particular, that has, does or will attract your vote for President? What is it that convinces you that she is the right solution to the problems faced by the US today?
I realize I won't get a response to this because it does look like a trolling trap of some sort, and I accept that. It's 100% true that I've never been charitable in my assessment of her suitability for POTUS duty and a person cannot be faulted for deciding to not risk a confrontation. But this isn't about my assessment based on what I've seen, heard, and read. This is about learning just what it is that makes her so appealing to so many people, 99% of whom I'd predict to be honest, hardworking, normal people.
So, with that in mind I'm going to set comments to screened, and also promise not to try to change someone's mind. For something like this I'm only looking to ask questions to seek clarification, not try to tell someone they're wrong.
