This is the equivalent of killing your parents and then begging for mercy on the grounds that you are an orphan. Let's keep this in perspective here. The issue is not that Fox News and its parent company, affiliates and subsidiaries were the victim of a hacking attack. The issue is that Rupert Murdoch's media empire has been the one hacking people and possibly paying police bribes to be able to do it. It's not a pile on, its people demanding answers to the following questions:
1. What did Rupert Murdoch know, and when did he know it?
2. Were bribes paid to police officers? If so, who paid, and who accepted?
3. Did the hacking of a 13 year old murder victim's phone and deletion of her voice mail (which led to investigators thinking she was still alive) compromise efforts to find her, and to investigate her murder?
4. Was the recent death of News of the World reporter Sean Hoare foul play?
5. Were 9/11 victim phones hacked by this organization?
Depending on the answers we could be looking at gross violations of privacy and telecommunication law, police corruption, obstruction of justice, corporate wrongdoing at the highest company level, and maybe even murder.
Piling it on? Give me a break.
