If a Pittsburgh player hitting a Boston player from behind into the boards is a five minute major, then a Boston player hitting a Pittsburgh player from behind into the boards is also a five minute major, not a two minute minor. If a Pittsburgh player stepping into a Boston player as he goes by without the puck is an interference penalty, than a play where the Boston player football blocks the Pittsburgh player after telling his teammate he is going to do it is also an interference penalty.
Look, the Bruins deserved the win tonight because they were the better team, and the penalties called against the Penguins were the right calls. That said if you keep blowing the calls that would go against the Bruins be prepared for people to wonder if the NHL wants a certain outcome.
