I must say it's impressive on how you can make such a simple drum pattern look difficult to play, I'm not sure he was sure which end of which stick to hit each drum with :)

I played for years with someone who used to hit the cymbals in such a way as to nick the ends until that little nub flew off and became a deadly weapon. So he got into the habit of hitting the drums with the blunt end of the sticks.

Yeah I got hit in the back with a nub once or twice. It was kind of funny actually.

Well, for me, but then they weren't my drumsticks. :-)
