Parent's computer is back up and working fine, and I've got a freezer full of home cooking for the week. Yum yum!

I think it depends. The highways get closed a few times every year but since I'm in the city I'm usually not too badly affected. That said the snow we get off of the lake does create some interesting winter travel conditions in the city.
