So far today I've read two stories on CBC that have ended with people missing and presumed dead, so here's my rant. I'll keep it short and sweet.
People, its spring time. STAY. OFF. THE. ICE!!!!!
You go through the ice into a river and you are dead. If you don't get pulled out quickly you've got maybe five-ten minutes tops before you lose the ability to get out, and in 15 you're probably drowned.
Jesus what a lousy way to go.
And again I realize that for many of you the only ice you'll stand on is either a skating rink or an ice cube that fell out of your drink. Still this type of senseless loss drives me batty every single year.
