OK, first things first. This one is behind a cut because I could see this giving someone a seizure, so if you're epileptic or at risk for light triggered seizures just skip this one.

I'm not joking about this. Proceed at you're own risk.

Got to admit though that there was some seriously impressive planning behind this maniacal monstrosity but what does his local homeowner's association think? That's what I  want to know!

And for anyone who prefers their Christmas lights displays to be a tad less apocalyptic here's one to Peanuts theme:

Yeah. All I can say is that I was speechless after watching that.

Pretty astounding. I've always wondered most how they actually plan out the patterns and sequences for things like that. Actually implementing it is just a matter of a lot of equipment and technical know-how. IMHO, it's so bright and non-aesthetically appealing, though, that it almost falls into the Just Because You Can Do It Doesn't Mean You Should category! (Admittedly I'd enjoy it more if I knew the song.)

And thanks for being thoughtful enough about the warning - my brother *does* have photosensitive epilepsy. Most people really aren't aware of it. We detest the new super-bright headlights!

No problems on the warning - I've worked with a few people with epilepsy before, and considering I found the fast flashing pulses to be nauseating it didn't take much imagination to figure out a warning might be a good idea.

As for the aesthetics I'm inclined to agree with you. Slayer is one of those bands that is good if you're in the mood for unrelenting speed and loudness but if you want dynamics and clearly differentiated parts, there are at least a good half dozen better candidates. Honestly, I'd be more interested in what something like Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" looks like than checking out this version of "Reign'in Blood" again.
