Uh, aren't two wars enough?

Apparently some people in the US want to establish a no-fly zone in Libya. A fine idea in theory, I say, but the practicalities of disabling runways, hangers, air defence radars, anti-aircraft guns, and surface to air missile sites make doing that likely to trigger a shooting war between Libya and anyone who tries it.

*shakes head*

Where do they find such people? I can only hope that Canada's leaders see this for the overreaching insanity it is and decide not to take part in such stupidity.

It's a potentially very messy situation.
The west has suddenly seen a chance to get rid of the the crazy old loon in charge of Libya... but I suspect the reality is that Gaddafi is in a much stronger position than the western press has been broadcasting and only direct intervention on behalf of mainly the US would actually remove him from power... which would be another Iraq situation. Which is not good for Libya, not good for us, in fact it would probably only be good for US oil business... so it'll probably happen.

Yeah, that's probably what will happen. You'd think somebody would be leery of jumping into a civil war though.
