Day 16 - A song you used to like but now hate

I don't hate the music or faces of Milli Vanilli. I don't hate that they won Grammy Awards for lip synching.  What I hate is not ever being able to
really find out who deserves the real credit for what was and is a very well done pop album.

Hopefully the musicians that did this got some sort of careers out of this, be it as session players, producers or whatnot.

Milli Vanilli's lip sincing would not be a problem if they'd come on the scene now. With Autotune, who knows who can really sing anyway?

That's a great point. Autotune has become one of those "Enough Already!" effects. It's ok as a special effect but listening to it all the time gets old.

Have you seen this? I thought it was a pretty good explanation of the phenomenon of Autotune and its place in the cultural consciousness...and it's got Wierd Al!
